Gettysburg National Battlefield Volunteer Opportunity
On Saturday, May 12, 2018, Gettysburg Composite Squadron, in conjunction with the National Park Service, is hosting the first cooperative battlefield maintenance activity. Open to all squadrons in the PA Wing, we are tasked with restoring several historic areas on the field to their appearance at the time of the Civil War. Working in partnership with the National Park Service, we will use light tools to maintain and restore the appearance of the park. All tools will be provided; units or individuals can come out for the morning, afternoon, or the entire day. There will be several more opportunities during the year. For details on how to participate, commanders should email Maj. Rob Clark with a prospective number of participants at rclark.bsa@gmail.com. If you have interested cadets and SM’s, please let him know by no later than Friday, May 4.
